A wedding planner spreadsheet for cross-cultural weddings: two families, two languages, two sets of customs, one plan

This is a planned spreadsheet (Excel + Google Sheets) for couples planning a bilingual, cross-cultural wedding — for example an English–Chinese wedding. Generic wedding planners assume one language and one set of customs. Cross-cultural couples end up adapting them by hand: guest names kept in two scripts, a tea ceremony squeezed into a timeline built only for a Western ceremony, red envelopes tracked in a separate notebook from the gift registry, and a budget split across two currencies. This planner, if built, would put those pieces in one place from the start: a bilingual, mail-merge-ready guest list and seating chart, both ceremony timelines in a single countdown plan, red-envelope and gift-registry tracking side by side, and a dual-currency budget and vendor tracker. It has not been built. This page answers one question only: is that specific angle worth building, at an intended price of $29.99 one-time?

Why validate before building

Planned modules (not built yet)

What actually gets built — and which modules come first — will be decided by what signups say. If the cross-cultural modules are not what people ask for, the honest conclusion is that a generic planner already does the job.

Who this is for

Intended price (not a selling price — not built, no payment, no pre-order)
$29.99 one-time

Signing up is one email — no payment, no reservation, no purchase commitment. In it, please say: your wedding date, which languages/cultures your wedding combines, the hardest part of planning across both, what you use to manage it today, whether you use Excel or Google Sheets, and whether $29.99 is a price you would pay. Those answers decide whether this gets built and what goes in first.

This product has not been built. If 20 people sign up within 30 days (by November 13, 2026), full production starts; below that, the idea is dropped and every signup gets an email saying so. Price and threshold are validation parameters, not market conclusions.

FAQ

Can I buy it now?
No. It has not been built. This page is the whole test.

Does signing up commit me to buying?
No. Signup only means "tell me if it gets built." You decide when you see the finished product.

Which language pairs?
The planned first version is English–Chinese, because that is the combination the planned customs modules (tea ceremony, red envelopes) belong to. If your wedding combines a different pair, say so in your signup email — that is exactly the signal this test is collecting.

Why not just adapt a generic planner?
Many couples do, and for a single-culture wedding that is the right answer. This test exists for the couples who found the adaptation itself — two scripts, two timelines, two gift conventions, two currencies — to be the painful part.

How would it be delivered, if built?
As a downloadable spreadsheet (Excel + Google Sheets) with written documentation — self-serve purchase and download, no one-on-one service attached.
